The Union Station and Van Nuys Flyaway Buses: If you are coming from the San Fernando Valley, you can take the Van Nuys Flyaway bus with direct service every 15 to 30 minutes to LAX. The new Van Nuys Flyaway station at Woodley Ave and Saticoy St. has a new, state-of-the-art 2,000-space parking structure so you'll never have to worry about running out of parking! The 20-mile ride costs $3 one way ($6 round trip) for adults, $2 for children between 2 and 12 years, and free for children under 2 years. Tickets are available from a kiosk staffed 24 hours daily, and located a few feet from the FlyAway stop at Patsaouras Transit Plaza and at the Van Nuys Flyaway terminal. Metro Buses: Metro Green Line: Norwalk to Redondo Beach, detrain at the Aviation Station to take the free LAX shuttle* Beach Cities Transit 109: Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo to LAX Commuter Express 574: Encino/Granada Hills to LAX Culver City Bus Line 6: UCLA to LAX Santa Barbara Airbus: Carpinteria, Goleta, Santa Barbara to LAX Santa Monica Big Blue Bus: Route 3 and Route 3 Rapid from Santa Monica to LAX Torrance Route 8: Torrance to LAX * The Green Line Aviation/LAX shuttle is Route 625.
